Emily Thompson is a fine art specialist at Fine Art Asset Management with over 15 years of experience in art market research and valuation. Prior to joining the company, Ms. Thompson was as a senior fine art appraiser at Gurr Johns International, where she valued artworks for the purpose of financial planning, insurance coverage and litigation support. Ms. Thompson is an Accredited Member of the Appraiser’s Association of America (AAA) and is a USPAP – Certified, IRS compliant fine art appraiser. Ms. Thompson graduated cum laude from Hobart and William Smith Colleges with a BA in Art History and holds a Master’s degree in Arts Administration from New York University. She has frequently been a guest lecturer at the Sotheby’s Institute of Art and for the Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (VLA), and is a member of the professional organizations ArtTable, POWarts, The American Alliance of Museums and The Phi Beta Kappa Society of New York.
